"Soft, dark and lightly minty with a tight, slow to open core of black fruit. That shows of flashes of subtle herbs coffee and sweet currant preserves. Cool and compact on entry with super balance and lovely flavors of black cherry preserves, tobacco, earth, baking spices and mocha tones. The finish is long and the tannins begin to become obvious but this is so well balanced and packed with fruit that it's easy to see how this will evolve. Almost supple today this really expresses unusual finesse for a Howell mountain cab."
